Katy Perry’s AI generated photos at the Met Gala go viral

Katy Perry has revealed her own mother was fooled by an AI image of her at the 2024 Met Gala.

The 39-year-old pop star didn’t attend this year’s event but someone used artificial intelligence (AI) to create a fake image to show her at the prestigious event. A couple of X users noticed that the photos were fake but her own mother was fooled at first.

In a text exchange shared on Instagram, her mother Mary Perry wrote: “Ha Feather! Didn’t know you went to the Met. What a gorgeous gown. You look like the Rose Parade, you are your own float lol.”

Katy replied: “Lol mom the AI got you too, BEWARE!”

The hit-maker captioned the post: “Couldn’t make it to the MET, had to work.”

Alongside the exchange, Katy also shared a clip of herself in the recording studio, proving why she was too busy to attend.
