Cassper Nyovest Dedicates Song Off His New Album To The Late AKA.

Cassper Nyovest has dedicated a song from his newly released album titled ‘Solomon’, to the late South African rapper AKA whose real name was Kiernan Forbes.

This is despite the relationship between late rapper AKA and Cassper Nyovest being flawed by conflict and beef during their careers.

Nyovest shared the news that he dedicated ‘Candlelight’ to AKA at his recent exclusive album launch. Speaking about dedicating the song to AKA, the hitmaker said although they might have been considered enemies, he was affected by AKA’s murder as he used to draw inspiration from him and motivated him to do better.

“This is a rap album. It’s fully rap,” Nyovest said. “This, for me, is my favorite album. It’s my best album because I’m just myself – I didn’t sing and judge myself. It’s also my most simplest album.”

The late rapper was shot dead outside a nightclub in Durban in February 2023. He was only 35 years old and he left behind a daughter named Kairo whom he shared with former girlfriend DJ Zinhle.
