By Adelaide

This year’s Oscar Awards are on the way and the hosts just got announced. This year’s nominees for the March awards will be Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.

The trio were officially named hosts of the upcoming 94th Academy Awards during the “Good Morning America” telecast.

“Good morning America I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I am hosting the Oscars along with my good friends Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall,” Schumer said in a video shown on “GMA.”

“I better go watch some movies.”

The Oscars are awards for artistic and technical merit in the film industry. They are regarded by many as the most prestigious and significant awards in the entertainment industry worldwide.

This is the first time in Oscars’ history that three women have hosted the show though it’s not the first time more than one person has been enlisted for the job.

The Oscars will be held on March 27.

The last time the awards had three hosts was in 1987 when Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn and Paul Hogan teamed up for the hosting duties. There has not been an Oscars host for three consecutive years since 2019 when Kevin Hart pulled out of the ceremony amid controversy.

Schumer, Hall and Sykes are all seasoned actresses-cum-comedians who have hosted shows before.
