Tems Debuts new single On NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert In Honor Of Black Music Month.  

Nigerian singer Tems has been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert as part of their Black Music Month celebrations.

The songwriter kicked things off with “Me and U’’ and “Ice T’’ before showcasing “Unfortunate’’ which had previously never been heard and will appear on her album “Born in the Wild”.

“It’s basically me being a victim from an unfortunate situation and is really special’ ’she explained.

Tems is the only African female in the lineup. She’s renowned for her emotive voice and genre-blending magic. Collaborating with icons like Drake and Wizkid, she’s earned a Grammy and hearts worldwide.

In a celebration of Black Music Month, Tiny Desk Concert proudly presents a lineup of nine incredible Black women artists, who will be performing nine incredible concerts, each representing a unique genre, generation, and journey.

NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series, which began almost 15 years ago as a niche online platform mainly highlighting musicians, has established itself as one of music’s premiere platforms. It now includes performers from across genres, providing countless pop culture moments.
