Tina Turner Dies At The Age Of 83

Tina Turner also known as the Queen of Rock and dynamic dance moves has died at the age of 83.

She died peacefully on (24.05.2023) after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.

Her publicist Bernard Doherty confirmed in a statement on social media of her passing.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly,” the statement read.

Since 1994 the American-born singer had been living in Switzerland with her husband, German actor and music producer Erwin Bach, earning her Swiss citizenship in 2013. In recent years she battled a number of serious health problems, including a stroke, intestinal cancer, and total kidney failure that required an organ transplant.

Boasting one of the longest careers in rock history, Turner scored Billboard Top 40 hits across four decades, earning her Grammys, a Kennedy Center Honor, and entry into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

Turner’s mega-hits include ‘Proud Mary’, ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’, and ‘The Best’.
