Diamond Platnumz, Asake And Burna Boy Nominated For MTV EMA Best African Act 2023.

The nominations for the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) have been announced and some African stars will be featured.

Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz, Nigerian Burna Boy and Asake, South African Tyler ICU, and Cameroonian Libianca have been nominated for the 2023 Best African Act.

The best Afrobeats category will see Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr, Rema, and Davido battle it out alongside Uganda’s Aya Nakamura.

Burna Boy’s nomination is for the Best Live Act, making him the first African artist to be nominated in this category.

The hit song ‘Calm Down’ by Nigeria’s Rema and Selena Gomez has received nominations for Best Song and Best Collaboration.

The MTV Europe Music Awards are set for the 5th of November in Paris, France.
