Actor Adan Canto from X-Men and Cleaning Lady dies of cancer.

Star Adan Canto has died of cancer of the appendix.

Adan Canto, who played Arman Morales on The Cleaning Lady plus roles in Designated Survivor, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Narcos, has died at the age of 42.

The Mexican-American actor was best known for his role as gangster Arman Morales in Fox’s drama series The Cleaning Lady, in which he featured in the first two seasons. Due to health reasons, he was unable to film the upcoming third season, but had intended to rejoin the cast.

His representatives confirmed his death in a statement, saying: “Adan had a depth of spirit that few truly knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever. He will be greatly missed by so many.”

Adan is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ann Canto, and their children, Roman Alder, three, and Eve Josephine, one.
