Bob Marley: One Love focuses on the period after a 1976 assassination

attempt on Marley, as he prepares to return to Jamaica in 1978 for the One

Love Peace Concert. It’s due in theaters on Friday, January 12, 2024.

The Jamaican reggae legend’s son Ziggy, daughter Cedella, and widow, Rita,

produced the film alongside Robert Teitel.

In 1977, Marley was diagnosed with acral lentiginous melanoma; he died as a

result of the illness in 1981. Some of Marley’s most popular songs include

‘One Love’, ‘Buffalo Soldier’, ‘Redemption Song’, ‘No Woman, No Cry,’ and

‘Three Little Birds’.
