Residents of Marsabit have been urged to uphold love, unity and reconciliation, particularly at a time when political activities are gaining momentum in different parts of the country.
The call was made by Global Gospel Church Bishop Hirbo Huka during the ongoing Festival of Hope conference at the Marsabit Sports Ground.

Speaking to this station, Huka said communities that live in peace and harmony are able to enjoy shared development and avoid conflicts that can result in losses and suffering.
He emphasized that every resident of Marsabit has a responsibility to look out for one another regardless of ethnic differences, adding that unity remains the foundation for building a county that is prosperous and beneficial to all.

The bishop also urged young people to reject attempts by politicians to use them to fuel violence and unrest, saying such actions are against the law and displeasing to God.
The Festival of Hope conference has been organized by the Marsabit Ministers Fellowship in partnership with evangelist David Juma. The event aims to encourage residents through the Word of God and strengthen their spiritual lives.

Held under the theme “Your Light Has Come,” the conference seeks to address faith-related challenges facing residents while encouraging them to continue trusting in God in their daily lives.
The conference officially began on August 19, 2026, and is expected to conclude on August 23, 2026.
