Police seize 3,680 litres of Illicit brew in Dub Goba, Marsabit

Police in Marsabit have seized 3,680 litres of illicit brew, commonly known as kang’ara, during an operation conducted in the areas of Dub Goba, Manyatta Ginda and Badassa.

The operation is part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal alcohol and drug trafficking in the county.

Confirming the incident, Marsabit County Police Commander Leonard Kimaiyo said no arrests were made during the operation carried out on Wednesday.

However, he warned individuals involved in the illegal alcohol and drug trade that they would face legal action in accordance with the law.

Kimaiyo also thanked members of the public for continuing to provide security agencies with information regarding the illicit business.

The operation is being conducted jointly by NACADA and security officers as part of a nationwide 100-day campaign aimed at combating illegal alcohol and drug abuse.
