Marsabit County Weather Outlook (1st to 7th September 2026)
By Kenya Met
Most parts of Marsabit County are expected to remain generally dry during the forecast period of 1st to 7th September 2026, as the cool and dry season continues to prevail across Marsabit County. Dry, sunny, and windy conditions are likely to dominate over much of the county, particularly across the lowland, eastern, and northern pastoral zones.
However, isolated light rainfall may occasionally occur over Mt. Marsabit, Sololo Highlands, Hurri Hills, Ngurunit, South Horr, and areas along the Ethiopia border due to localized moisture and orographic influences.
Rainfall amounts are expected to remain light, generally below 5 mm. Most areas within the Lake Turkana Basin, North Horr, Dukana, Maikona, Turbi, Kargi, and the eastern lowlands are expected to remain predominantly dry throughout the forecast period.
Cool mornings accompanied by cloud cover, mist, and occasional fog are expected over the highland areas, while hot, dry, and windy conditions will continue across the lowlands, North Horr region, and the Lake Turkana corridor.
