Marsabit central to remain mostly dry amid light highland showers

Residents of Marsabit Central and Saku sub-counties, including Marsabit Town, Karare and Sagante/Jaldesa, can expect largely dry weather during the September 8–14 forecast period, with only isolated light showers likely in the highland areas.

According to the Marsabit County Meteorological Services, rainfall is expected to remain limited, with occasional showers of less than 5 millimetres possible around Mt. Marsabit and neighbouring forested areas.

The showers are most likely to occur during the late afternoon and evening, reflecting localized weather conditions around the mountain and surrounding highlands.

Early morning conditions could also bring reduced visibility in parts of the highland zone. Fog, mist and low cloud cover are expected around Mt. Marsabit and nearby elevated areas, particularly during the morning hours.

Motorists and other road users in affected areas may therefore need to exercise caution during periods of reduced visibility.

Moderate Winds Expected

The area is also expected to experience moderate winds of between 12 and 22 knots during the forecast period.

Occasional stronger gusts may develop, particularly over elevated terrain and exposed open plains.

Overall, the Marsabit Central and Saku areas are expected to experience predominantly dry conditions, with localized light showers, cool and cloudy mornings around Mt. Marsabit, and moderate winds providing the main weather features of the week.
