Laisamis sub-county to remain mostly dry as winds pick up

Laisamis Sub-County is expected to experience predominantly dry weather between September 8 and 14, with isolated light showers possible in parts of Ngurunit and the South Horr Hills.

According to the Marsabit County Meteorological Services, Laisamis, Loglogo, Korr and Ngurunit will generally remain dry throughout the forecast period. However, localized rainfall may occasionally develop around Ngurunit and the South Horr Hills, with amounts expected to remain light and generally below 5 millimetres.

The mornings could bring some cloud cover and occasional mist, particularly over Korr and Ngurunit, with the conditions most likely during the early hours.

Meanwhile, winds are expected to become a notable feature of the week’s weather, with moderate to strong winds of between 15 and 25 knots forecast across the sub-county.

The combination of strong winds and dry conditions could lead to dusty afternoons, particularly in open and exposed areas.

Overall, Laisamis Sub-County is expected to remain largely dry, with localized light showers, misty mornings and windy, dusty afternoons shaping the weather during the forecast period.
