Man found dead in Manyatta Gilla Bajji, Marsabit

A man was found dead in his house in Manyatta Gilla Bajji area of Sagante Jaldesa Sub-County, Marsabit County.

The deceased, who worked on a miraa farm, was discovered early today lying on the floor of his house with blood around his body.

Speaking to Radio Jangwani, Sagante Jaldesa OCPD Hilary Kawaka said the deceased was originally from Western Kenya and that police are making efforts to trace and inform his family.

Kawaka said that, according to people who lived with the deceased, he had been suffering from tuberculosis (TB).

He added that it was the deceased’s friend who found him lying on the floor in that condition.

The body has been taken to the Marsabit County Referral Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.
