Assistant County Commissioners, chiefs and their deputies in Marsabit County have received three-day training on systems for collecting and using data from the community level.
The training seeks to strengthen the capacity of the administrators to improve the quality, consistency and timely availability of community-level information for use in government planning, resource allocation, project implementation, monitoring and decision-making.
The officials are being equipped with knowledge on the importance of planning based on accurate information from communities to ensure government interventions and resources address the needs and priorities of residents in specific areas.
The training also aims to strengthen collaboration between the national and county governments and improve systems for collecting, sharing, analysing and using community information in the delivery of public services.
