President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Tanzania counterpart President Samia Suluhu Hassan have the leaders reassured the business community of their commitment to the removal of all barriers limiting cross-border trade and investments.

President Kenyatta challenged the region’s private sector to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the various multilateral instruments including the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to grow their investments

President Kenyatta welcomed Tanzanian traders to invest in Kenya and announced a raft of incentives including the lifting of work permit and visa requirements.

On her part, President Suluhu outlined the reforms being undertaken by her administration to enhance ease of doing business, and welcomed Kenyan businesses to invest in Tanzania

The two leaders committed to this while addressing a Kenya-Tanzania Business Forum meeting on the second day of the Tanzanian leader’s State Visit to Kenya.
